Job Summary

Join the Rail & Transit team to deliver Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) design packages for Swedish Rail projects from feasibility through IFC. Prepare and review OLE layout plans, schedules, foundation/mast arrangements, safety studies, and loading calculations, ensuring compliance with Trafikverket requirements and EN/IEC standards. Coordinate across multidisciplinary global teams, support technical reviews and client submissions, and independently lead OLE design tasks while mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver OLE design packages for Swedish Rail projects across feasibility, concept, detailed, and IFC stages.
•Prepare and review deliverables including OLE layout plans, cross-sections, sectioning diagrams, wire run/dropper schedules, and conductor allocation.
•Produce and review foundation and mast schedules, clearance and electrical safety studies, and loading calculations/design reports.
•Ensure designs comply with Swedish Rail (Trafikverket) requirements and relevant EN/IEC standards, coordinating OLE interfaces with track, signalling, telecom, civil, and structural disciplines.
•Independently lead OLE design tasks, support technical reviews and client submissions, and mentor junior engineers/designers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent).
•8-12+ years of experience in Railway OLE / electrification design.
•Proven experience on mainline rail electrification projects, with prior exposure to European/Nordic projects (Sweden preferred).
•Strong knowledge of OLE systems including catenary/contact wire, auto-tensioning, and mast/portal/foundation arrangements, plus the ability to review electrical and structural loading calculations.
•Proficiency with Bentley MicroStation (essential) and experience with OLE design tools such as OLEMI/UKMS/Mark-3B, Bentley OpenRail and ProjectWise, plus AutoCAD and Microsoft Office 365.
