Job Summary

Manage day-to-day legal operations for Asia-Pacific Legal with a focus on Hong Kong, supporting the HK General Counsel and the Legal Operations team. Oversee external law firm engagement, third-party management, change and innovation initiatives, and cost/budget controls. Lead line management of onshore and offshore administrative support, maintain operational playbooks and business continuity, and ensure risk controls, records management, and document retention are executed effectively.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide management support to facilitate day-to-day operational activities within the Legal function.
•Support the HK General Counsel with internal communications and coordination of HK-based events and meetings.
•Manage the HK Legal Operations team, including line management of administrative support and maintaining the operational playbook.
•Drive Legal transformation through process simplification, control improvements, and locally impactful change initiatives.
•Manage third-party relationships, business continuity, operational risk and controls, and records management/document retention.

Key Requirements

•Strong knowledge and experience in Operations or Business Management domains.
•Ability to analyse complex issues, assess impact on the Bank and stakeholders, and translate findings into actionable goals.
•Curiosity and drive to streamline processes and focus on impactful improvements.
•Experience adopting AI tools and promoting their use to drive efficiency and innovation.
•Strong communications skills in English and Cantonese and excellent relationship management across a matrix organization.
