Provide remote school counseling for Indiana Gateway Digital Academy, promoting student success through preventive services and a comprehensive counseling program. Help students plan postsecondary options, support academic achievement strategies, and develop social-emotional skills. Meet quarterly with caseloads to review graduation plans, review transcripts, and collaborate on four-year graduation planning. Use student data to build intervention action plans and deliver referrals, parent education, and support for standardized testing.

Key Responsibilities

•Implement a comprehensive school counseling program to support students’ academic success, social and emotional development, and career/college planning.
•Plan for postsecondary options and apply academic achievement strategies, including helping students manage emotions and use interpersonal skills.
•Meet quarterly with students on caseload to review graduation plans and post-secondary options; review transcripts and academic documentation.
•Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and audit four-year graduation plans and assist with course placement and AP recommendations.
•Analyze student data to develop data-driven intervention action plans and provide short-term counseling and referrals; support standardized testing, parent education, and staff development.

Travel: Medium travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 50,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree.
•Three (3) years of experience in counseling and/or advisement.
•School Counselor License (Counselor) and ability to clear required background check.
•Master’s degree in school counseling.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, web-based search engines, and database systems; experience with distance learning.
