Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate the implementation and compliance to the Project Health and Safety Management Plan (PHSP) and the Project HSE Management Programme.
  • •Arrange and participate in HSE training sessions, HSE committee meetings, and coordination meetings; monitor training effectiveness.
  • •Advise project directors/managers and supervisory staff on accident prevention, improvements to work methods, and HSE-related matters.
  • •Coordinate project HSE execution per the HSE plan and IMS requirements; conduct monthly inspections and record findings to develop improvement action plans.
  • •Investigate incidents/accidents, perform root-cause analysis, and complete investigations within set timelines; identify hazards and risks and support mitigation actions.

Key Requirements

  • •Knowledge of local health and safety laws/regulations and the ability to analyze proposed personnel policies.
  • •Knowledge of QCS 2014 and ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, plus general HSE best practices and relevant codes/standards.
  • •NEBOSH Diploma or NEBOSH Certificate (BSC Level 6) and a certified Fire Safety/Engineering qualification from a recognized institution.
  • •Audit qualifications for ISO OHSMS and EMS, plus accident investigation, scaffolding training, fire safety training, and rigging training.
  • •ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, to succeed in the role.
