Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver FEED, feasibility, planning, optioneering, and design assurance for energy storage systems and associated grid connections.
  • •Design BESS balance of plant (BOP) systems and develop electrical solutions for energy storage and renewables at 11kV–400kV.
  • •Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and clients to produce innovative grid and private network designs.
  • •Provide support and exposure to bidding, project management, and quality management for BESS projects.
  • •Work on large projects/frameworks with renewable developers, primarily in the UK and Ireland, with some global projects.

Key Requirements

  • •A degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • •Experience in FEED designer, detailed design, or an owner’s engineer role.
  • •Strong understanding of renewable generation and energy storage, especially battery storage technologies (types and chemistries).
  • •Experience designing HV grid connections, metering, and control requirements for battery storage installations (including collocated BESS).
  • •Knowledge of grid connection requirements for renewables and storage, including G99, G100, and relevant grid code requirements.
