Job Summary

Design, develop, and maintain automated UI and REST API test scripts using Playwright, while creating and executing manual test cases and scenarios (including Gherkin). Own test planning, documentation, defect reporting, and reproduction across the software lifecycle. Use Jira with Xray for test case and execution management and collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA within Agile ceremonies to improve QA processes and support releases and UAT.

Key Responsibilities

•Analyze functional requirements and business specifications to support testing needs.
•Develop and maintain automated Playwright test scripts for UI and REST API testing.
•Design, write, and maintain manual test cases and scenarios using Gherkin (Given/When/Then).
•Plan and execute manual testing activities (functional, regression, smoke, exploratory) and manage test execution in Jira with Xray.
•Document test results, create detailed defect reports, reproduce/analyze defects, and support release activities and UAT while participating in Agile ceremonies.

Key Requirements

•Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field.
•4+ years developing and maintaining UI and REST API test automation using Playwright.
•Experience with manual software testing, preferably in Agile (e.g., Scrum) environments.
•Experience with test management tools such as Jira and Xray, plus strong QA documentation knowledge.
•Excellent English and German verbal and written communication skills.
