Key Responsibilities

•Define and further develop the network architecture for Thales Deutschland and assess requirements for feasibility.
•Create business cases based on requirements and feasibility assessments.
•Optimize processes through automation using suitable tools and scripts while ensuring security and compliance guidelines.
•Plan, install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, WiFi, VPN, and security solutions.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification, or equivalent professional experience, with several years of experience in network administration.
•Experience operating security-critical infrastructure according to BSI standards.
•Hands-on experience with automation/orchestration tools such as PYATS, Ansible, and Terraform.
•Strong knowledge of complex enterprise networks (e.g., Cisco, Barracuda, Checkpoint, Fortinet, VPLS) and network topologies (Ethernet, WLAN) and protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPLS).
•Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as SDN and VMware NSX, plus very good German and good English skills.
