Key Responsibilities

  • •Model XBRL mapping using the applicable taxonomy, selecting correct line item concepts, axis, and members.
  • •Interpret taxonomy guidance to ensure correct tag choices and that extensions follow taxonomy intent.
  • •Tag financial statement values across statements, notes, schedules, and other required disclosures.
  • •Determine whether values are point-in-time vs. period concepts (e.g., Balance Sheet vs. P&L) and whether values represent debits or credits.
  • •Maintain knowledge of taxonomies, SEC regulations, and emerging XBRL requirements while collaborating with internal teams to standardize training and updates.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • •2+ years of experience; experience working in a CPA firm or financial reporting environment preferred.
  • •Strong U.S. GAAP (or other applicable accounting standards) acumen for financial reporting.
  • •Understanding and competency with SEC and SEDAR reporting requirements; ability to interpret taxonomy structure.
  • •Preferred: CPA or CIA certification.
