Key Responsibilities

  • •Architect, develop and operate Java services for the merchandising platform to enable conversion and upsell journeys.
  • •Collaborate with the squad and internal partners to design scalable backend systems, data models, and APIs on Google Cloud Platform.
  • •Be a technical leader, mentor and valued contributor in a cross-functional agile squad, collaborating with other squads and stakeholders.
  • •Collaborate with other squads, engineering managers and product managers to solve challenging problems and scale automation and platform capabilities.
  • •Write and maintain distributed, high-volume services and ensure production deployment and operation.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of working experience as a Backend Engineer with Java
  • •Experience designing, implementing and scaling cloud-native backend components on providers such as GCP/AWS
  • •Experience working with APIs and collaborating with stakeholders to meet requirements
  • •Strong CS fundamentals with experience building complex backend services at scale
  • •Ability to mentor in an autonomous, cross-functional agile squad and drive complex delivery initiatives
