Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead specification, design, implementation, and testing of Air Circuit Breaker mechanical engineering work.
  • •Perform component sizing, modeling, and simulation to meet customer requirements and UL/IEC standards, including short-circuit, thermal, and structural constraints.
  • •Design key breaker sub-systems (e.g., current path, mechanism, housing, arc chamber) and develop cost-effective, reliable solutions.
  • •Plan and manage development to deliver NPD, features, and enhancements on time; coordinate with product owners and multiple engineering teams.
  • •Mentor Pune ACB team members on GD&T, tolerance stack-up, manufacturing, and assembly; identify, communicate, and mitigate development risks.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical engineering.
  • •8–12 years of experience in low-voltage product development, preferably Air Circuit Breaker experience.
  • •Minimum 8+ years experience developing low-voltage products with strong familiarity with Air Circuit Breaker.
  • •Hands-on experience with short-circuit, temperature rise, and dielectric work in line with UL/IEC standards.
  • •Proficient in 3D modeling and engineering tools including Creo/3D Creo (plus Inventor) and experience with SAP and Enovia.
