Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical and electrical systems including brakes, cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions; use test instruments and equipment to support accurate troubleshooting.
  • •Manage parts inventory and operate/maintain the company-issued service vehicle, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair orders, document findings and parts used with photos via company iOS device and TRAIT application, and communicate with management/support to obtain approvals.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED (or a different combination such as related degree/certification or 5 years’ related experience).
  • •3 years’ experience in a related field (with flexibility for an equivalent combination).
  • •Must possess and supply a set of required hand tools.
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Must be able to successfully complete DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; maintain a valid driver’s license and Driver Qualification File.
