Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain ownership of site environmental programs and serve as the environmental subject matter expert.
  • •Interpret and communicate environmental regulations and permit requirements; serve as primary contact during inspections and regulatory interactions.
  • •Prepare and submit required environmental reports; maintain accurate environmental records, reports, calculations, and correspondence.
  • •Maintain air permits and regulatory compliance, including preparing/submitting amendments, renewals, alterations, and related permit applications; manage consultants where needed.
  • •Develop, maintain, and improve environmental management systems; support continuous improvement projects and Operation Clean Sweep; participate in on-call rotation for HSES needs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related engineering discipline.
  • •Minimum of 4 years of relevant environmental experience in refining or petrochemical facilities.
  • •Experience with air, water, and waste regulatory requirements.
  • •Experience managing Texas environmental permits from application through issuance and representing the company with regulatory agencies during inspections.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, plus strong written and oral communication skills.
