Job Summary

Lead and oversee onsite construction activities for a large mining EPCM project in WSP’s Earth & Environment team. Deliver safe, coordinated civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and earthworks scopes across open pit and/or underground environments. Manage contractors and field teams, ensure execution aligns with engineering and project controls, maintain regulatory and stakeholder requirements, and drive QA/QC, scheduling, risk management, and cost tracking.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead construction oversight for mine infrastructure, processing facilities, and related support facilities, aligned with design, specifications, and regulatory standards.
•Manage construction contractors, subcontractors, and field teams, overseeing safety, cost, schedule, and quality performance.
•Serve as the primary interface between owner, contractor, and engineering teams to manage communication and risk mitigation.
•Coordinate constructability, sequencing, and field modifications with design engineers, geotechnical teams, and stakeholders.
•Oversee QA/QC, inspections, and material testing; develop execution plans, schedules, risk registers, and cost tracking; mentor junior staff.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management (preferred) or trade school or equivalent work experience.
•15+ years of relevant experience in large-scale heavy civil construction, process facilities, and/or mining infrastructure.
•Hands-on construction management experience in active mining settings, preferably across both open pit and underground development.
•Knowledge of mineral processing facility construction and heap leach pad construction (stacking systems, solution management infrastructure, environmental controls).
•Commitment to safety, including MSHA certification required (OSHA 30-hour training preferred).
