Job Summary

Own indirect and direct purchasing for a large manufacturing site, driving procurement activities to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Manage purchase order processing in SAP, run RFQ/RFP processes, and evaluate suppliers for quality, delivery, total cost, and service. Implement lean/six sigma purchasing procedures, support value engineering with key suppliers, maintain purchasing records and reporting, and ensure accurate, timely vendor invoicing.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead indirect and direct purchasing for a large manufacturing site, procuring materials, supplies, and services to meet business quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
•Manage purchase order processing within the SAP system, including timely and accurate vendor invoicing.
•Research, interview, monitor, and evaluate suppliers for quality, delivery, total cost, and service.
•Manage RFQ and RFP processes and drive value engineering efforts with key suppliers.
•Develop, implement, and monitor lean/six sigma purchasing procedures and support supply chain initiatives at the site.

Key Requirements

•University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
•Experience with purchasing and supplier negotiation.
•Experience managing purchase order processes in SAP.
•Experience managing RFQ and RFP processes.
•Knowledge of Lean principles and six-sigma.
