Key Responsibilities

  • •Design protection and control solutions for EHV substation projects, including AIS and GIS substations.
  • •Produce protection and control system design drawings for 11kV up to and including 132kV systems.
  • •Integrate protection and SCADA systems and create associated engineering calculations and documentation.
  • •Support equipment specifications and develop protection solutions for future smart grid requirements.
  • •Visit sites to assess requirements and provide ongoing design drawing changes/support during project build while ensuring technical compliance in supplier/client designs.

Key Requirements

  • •HNC Electrical Engineering.
  • •Proven experience in designing protection and control schemes.
  • •Knowledge of Electrical Networks and engineering standards.
  • •Ability to interpret technical documentation relating to design.
  • •Knowledge and experience with main standard protocols such as IEC 61850 and IEC 60870, plus a full driving licence.
