Key Responsibilities

  • •Own general ledger accounting, including complex journal entries, accruals, prepayments, reclassifications, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • •Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of issues.
  • •Ensure accurate, timely ERP postings and challenge unusual, incomplete, or unsupported accounting transactions.
  • •Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to resolve discrepancies, aged items, and unusual movements; support documentation and audit trails.
  • •Support financial reporting and variance analysis, liaise with other Finance functions and stakeholders, and drive RTR process improvement through standardisation and automation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • •Relevant experience in accounting, record-to-report (RTR), audit, or financial reporting in a Shared Services or corporate environment.
  • •Proven experience coordinating annual audit processes and reviewing information provided to external auditors.
  • •Proven experience performing and reviewing intercompany reconciliations.
  • •Strong accounting knowledge, including exposure to Spanish GAAP and IFRS (including IFRS 16); Belgian and Dutch GAAP are a plus.
