Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and drive a non-Class-A Commercial Motor Vehicle in compliance with DOT and CarMax standards.
  • •Maintain accurate and compliant DOT logs and documentation.
  • •Safely load, secure, transport, and unload CarMax vehicles, including hands-on freight handling and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • •Move vehicles between CarMax locations and approved vendors/customers using a company-provided truck while keeping equipment clean, well-maintained, and operational.
  • •Prepare and execute home deliveries and appraisal pickups following CarMax Standard Work and complete all paperwork accurately while representing CarMax professionally.

Key Requirements

  • •Be 21 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license and a clean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years.
  • •1+ year of customer service experience and 1+ year of delivery driving experience (or CarMax experience).
  • •Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks, including securing vehicles using chains, binders, and straps.
  • •Must meet DOT & FMCSA qualification requirements and be able to climb, bend, and kneel to access multi-level transport decks.
  • •Must possess or obtain a DOT Medical Card before starting with CarMax.
