Job Summary

Lead mechanical and piping engineering delivery for mining and industrial projects across Canada, guiding multidisciplinary teams from concept to construction. Apply codes and standards (ASME B31.3/B31.4/B31.8, ASME VIII, API, TEMA) to develop safe, reliable systems; oversee rotating equipment, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and conveyors; drive project standards, RFQs, and supplier collaboration to ensure on-budget delivery.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead as technical expert on mechanical and piping engineering for mining and industrial projects across all phases from concept to construction support.
•Apply codes and standards to develop safe, compliant mechanical and piping systems.
•Direct and review piping layouts, isometrics, BOMs and fabrication deliverables for accuracy and constructability.
•Evaluate, select, and specify rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, blowers) based on lifecycle cost and performance.
•Oversee mechanical design of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, chutes, bins, hoppers and conveyors with collaboration from other engineering teams.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree considered an asset)
•Registered or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada
•12+ years of mechanical engineering experience in industrial/mining environments
•Strong track record leading and delivering EPCM projects in heavy industrial sectors
•Hands-on experience in mechanical design of chutes, hoppers, bins, conveyors and related structures
