Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain high standards of Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging and patient care in line with departmental and hospital quality standards.
  • •Perform all types of Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT procedures according to departmental needs and policies.
  • •Demonstrate significant Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT knowledge to meet consultant expectations.
  • •Check all scans before sending to consultants for reporting and accurately analyze acquired data to produce high quality images.
  • •Participate in QA for equipment, processing and Radiation Protection; maintain records and liaise with Medical Physics on radioactive waste and accidental spills.

Key Requirements

  • •B.Sc. Hons in Diagnostic Radiography or a Diploma of Radionuclide Imaging (or equivalent)
  • •HCPC registration as a Radiographer or Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • •Experience in PET-CT imaging / Nuclear Medicine / multi-slice CT scanning
  • •Fully conversant with PACS
  • •Ability to perform IV cannulation and confidently administer radioactive injections and other licensed products
