Key Responsibilities

•Own mechanical design of the next module or chassis for market, balancing structure, cooling, EMC, safety, manufacturability, cost, appearance, tolerances, and documentation.
•Implement selected designs in Creo 3D CAD, creating drawings and 3D files needed for prototyping and manufacturing.
•Schedule and lead peer and cross-functional design reviews, participating in reviews of other engineers’ work.
•Manage product lifecycle using BOM/ECO and product lifecycle management (Agile), including release and change activities.
•Support prototyping and manufacturing readiness by providing models for thermal simulations, working with ECAD/PCB design teams, addressing DFM concerns, and debugging issues in the lab (with some supplier travel).

Travel: Low travel

•BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering with 7 years’ experience.
•Experience in mechanical design of computer/network equipment for data center environments.
•Experience with ECO, BOM, and Deviation processes (Agile experience is a plus).
•Hands-on experience with tests such as shock, vibe, and EMC (plus).
•Ability to lift weight upwards of 50 pounds and fluent in English.
