Job Summary

Maintain and repair heavy construction equipment in a team environment while ensuring a safe workplace compliant with company safety policies and OSHA/MSHA requirements. Diagnose malfunctions, rebuild and maintain equipment, operate and inspect machinery, dismantle/reassemble components, and use measuring tools to examine wear. Weld broken parts, test overhauled equipment for efficiency, perform record keeping, and support maintenance operations as needed. CDL is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure a safe work environment and follow company safety policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for working procedures.
•Analyze equipment malfunctions and perform repairs, rebuilds, and maintenance on heavy construction equipment.
•Operate and inspect machines to diagnose defects; dismantle and reassemble equipment as needed using hoists and hand power tools.
•Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges; replace defective engines and sub-assemblies.
•Weld broken parts and structural members; test overhauled equipment for operating efficiency and complete record keeping for time and parts used.

Key Requirements

•Ensure safe working procedures and strictly adhere to company safety requirements, including OSHA/MSHA guidelines and use of PPE.
•Perform diagnosis, repair, rebuilding, and maintenance of truck and heavy equipment (including diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems).
•Dismantle and reassemble equipment using hoists and hand power tools; examine parts for damage/excessive wear with micrometers and gauges.
•Replace defective engines and sub-assemblies (e.g., transmissions, electric motors, hydraulic pumps/valves, pistons/rods/gears) and test overhauled equipment for operating efficiency.
•Have relevant certifications/education (two-year certificate preferred) and maintain ability/eligibility to pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and “Fit for Work” physical; CDL is preferred.
