Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely over required routes while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading and return equipment to designated areas; unload empty skids.
  • •Maintain required delivery paperwork (invoices and bills of lading) and facilitate routine truck service checks, reporting maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold either a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight operated.
  • •Pass background and drug testing required by federal and/or state DOT regulations.
  • •Pass a DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs) and be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with professional, courteous communication with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds and be able to travel frequently (safety-sensitive role; may require passing a 10-panel drug screen).
