Job Summary

Lead PCB technology and quality activities within the Component Quality & Technology team in Cisco’s Global Supplier Management organization. Partner with development engineers, commodity teams, and suppliers to develop next-generation PCB solutions, qualify and audit suppliers, and contribute to PCB commodity strategy. Drive PCB failure analysis by implementing containment, corrective actions, and risk assessments while collaborating with manufacturing and engineering to resolve complex technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with Cisco development engineers, commodity teams, and suppliers to create innovative PCB solutions.
•Assess and qualify PCB suppliers and contribute to the development of PCB commodity strategy.
•Participate in the supplier selection process and perform technical and process audits as needed.
•Lead PCB failure analysis and drive containment, corrective actions, and risk assessment.
•Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues and communicate complex technical concepts effectively.

Key Requirements

•Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials degree (or equivalent) plus 15+ years of PCB manufacturing experience.
•Direct experience with PCB design specifications and requirements, including qualification, manufacturing fabrication and test, with familiarity of laminates and resins and reliability knowledge.
•Competency in failure analysis techniques such as FMEA, 8D/Corrective Action, Fishbone IFD, Cause and Effect Analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE), and risk assessment.
•Experience managing supplier relationships and implementing corrective actions and rigorous quality control measures to ensure product standards and reliability.
•Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills with customer focus, decision-making, influencing, and the ability to meet deadlines.
