Key Responsibilities

  • •Correlate clinical and didactic education by sequencing objectives, evaluating term-by-term alignment, and ensuring bedside training connects to classroom learning.
  • •Build and qualify the clinical site network through pre-placement evaluations, accreditor recognition, maintaining affiliation agreements, and designating clinical preceptors.
  • •Run clinical placement and scheduling by ensuring equitable procedure access, maintaining 1:1 staffing ratios, capping clinical involvement at ten hours per day, and orienting students to each site.
  • •Enforce supervision and radiation safety, including competency-based direct/indirect supervision, distributing radiation exposure reports within thirty school days, and completing MRI safety screening before clinical experiences.
  • •Support accreditation and assessment with clinical evidence and site visit preparation, track competency progression and student advising/remediation plans, and participate in didactic/clinical teaching for the first cohort.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum two years' clinical experience in radiography.
  • •Minimum one year's experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program.
  • •Current ARRT R.T.(R) certification.
  • •Current Texas GMRT certificate from the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology.
  • •Bachelor's degree or higher from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or CHEA; working knowledge of JRCERT Standards and ABHES clinical experience requirements (or willingness to learn).
