Key Responsibilities

  • •Design roadway, traffic, and drainage components for highway improvement projects on alternative delivery efforts.
  • •Develop design packages, including roadway design calculations (e.g., superelevation, sight distance, acceleration/deceleration lanes).
  • •Create MOT-related traffic control deliverables such as cross sections, typical cross sections, traffic control plans, profiles, temporary signing, and detour routes.
  • •Produce traffic design work including signing/pavement marking, temporary signing, and traffic signal design for complex interchanges.
  • •Execute technical highway drainage design including storm drain design, culvert analysis, hydrology, ditch design, temporary drainage, and stormwater quantity control.

Key Requirements

  • •BS Degree or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience for CAD Designer roles.
  • •Junior: BS in Engineering + 2 years of related experience (or equivalency).
  • •Mid: BS in Engineering + 6 years of related experience (or equivalency).
  • •Senior/Task Leads: BS in Engineering + 10 years of related experience (or equivalency).
  • •Preferred: EIT Certification or PE License.
