Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and engineer instrumentation, control, and automation systems for industrial projects, ensuring safe and reliable operation in line with standards and project requirements.
  • •Develop and review engineering deliverables including P&IDs, instrument specifications, I/O lists, control philosophies, functional design specifications, and associated documentation.
  • •Select and specify instruments and develop control system architectures using PLC, DCS, SCADA, and communication networks.
  • •Configure, test, and commission control systems (FAT/SAT, loop checking, commissioning, start-up), and troubleshoot faults as needed.
  • •Coordinate across engineering disciplines and stakeholders, participate in risk assessments (HAZOP/LOPA) where required, and support construction supervision activities to ensure client satisfaction.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 15 years of experience in a construction / construction supervision function, including at least 10 years in GCC and in similar projects/positions.
  • •Expertise in instrumentation, process control, industrial automation, and knowledge of PLC/DCS/SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols.
  • •Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, loop diagrams, and control-system documentation.
  • •Familiarity with instrumentation and functional-safety standards, including participation in risk assessments and HAZOP/LOPA where required.
  • •Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (Instrumentation & Control, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline).
