Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure 24/7 operation of crews in the respective area and participate in cross-area projects.
  • •Account for Environmental, Health & Safety results, productivity improvements, and employee development.
  • •Implement Lean manufacturing principles (Kaizen, Daily Management, TPM, 5S, and problem solving) and ensure policy/system execution.
  • •Participate in annual development of area objectives and lead performance toward those goals, including A3 and 30-60-90 day plans.
  • •Plan and execute TPM activities, control operating expenses and R&M costs, and collaborate with internal customers/suppliers and outside carriers/vendors.

Key Requirements

  • •BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Business, or other 4-year technical degree (EET or MET) highly preferred.
  • •Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment, preferably in a union environment.
  • •Working knowledge of flat-rolled sheet finishing processes including reverse roll coating/painting, slitting, electro-coating/electro-plating, and material handling/packaging equipment systems.
  • •Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, ISO, and Six Sigma (plus).
  • •Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and proven ability to lead a team to success.
