Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead end-to-end design, development, and delivery of Wireless and IoT software features on Cisco Wireless Access Points across embedded, controller, and cloud-integrated systems.
  • •Own features from requirements clarification through technical design, implementation, validation, release readiness, and field support.
  • •Develop and debug production software across networking, embedded Linux, firmware, protocol, container, and system integration layers.
  • •Drive architectural decisions balancing scalability, reliability, security, testability, and operational support.
  • •Improve software quality via code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, threat modeling, defect root-cause analysis, and AI-assisted software development practices; mentor junior engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of experience in embedded, systems, or networking software development on embedded Linux or similar environments.
  • •Strong production experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in C or C++.
  • •Experience with wireless/IoT/networking technologies such as BLE, Zigbee, Thread, or Wi-Fi.
  • •Experience with networking communication protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and HTTP/S.
  • •Ability to design, implement, test, and debug complex software features with limited guidance, using solid software quality practices.
