Job Summary

Build and evolve internal Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tools by refactoring Python scripts to be more modular, robust, and maintainable. Support AI agent integration into Ecodesign and LCA workflows, keep data pipelines aligned with the latest LCA standards, and run assessments on real projects. Analyze environmental hotspots across materials and lifecycle stages, quantify trade-offs with sensitivity checks, and present findings for both technical and non-technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Improve and expand internal LCA tools by refactoring Python scripts for robustness and modularity.
•Support integration of AI agents into Ecodesign and LCA workflows.
•Maintain scripts and data pipelines in line with the latest LCA standards for traceable, reproducible results.
•Run Life Cycle Assessments on active projects, products, and components.
•Identify environmental footprint hotspots and present trade-offs with assumptions and sensitivity checks.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: EUR 16 - 18 hourly

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's or Master's student in Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field with a solid technical foundation.
•Good Python skills and a strong interest in writing clean, well-documented, maintainable code.
•Some familiarity with Life Cycle Assessment and Ecodesign, or a willingness to dive into it quickly.
•Prior experience (hands-on or academic) with LCA tools or sustainability methodologies is a plus.
•Knowledge of AI or machine learning is a strong bonus, especially for applying it to LCA data challenges.
