Key Responsibilities

  • •Support senior and intermediate engineering staff to complete projects in open pit and underground mining rock mechanics and mine closure.
  • •Conduct field work including data collection, field testing, excavation stability assessments, and engineering calculations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mining, or Geological Engineering.
  • •0 to 1 year of relevant post-education experience in engineering and prior geotechnical design experience.
  • •Proficient knowledge of geotechnical engineering, including slope stability, seismic engineering, retaining wall design, earth retention, rock mechanics, and ground improvement techniques.
  • •Ability to make technical computations and engineering calculations, evaluate plans/specifications, and compare results to applicable regulations.
  • •Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, with strong organizational and interpersonal/communication skills.
