Key Responsibilities

•Design and implement high-performance Elixir/Phoenix-based systems for the Document Engine and Web Services API.
•Design and build declarative infrastructure that is scalable, observable, and easy to maintain using Terraform, Terramate, and FluxCD on Kubernetes with Helm charts.
•Operate and evolve the managed cloud platform, including cluster lifecycle and upgrades, GitOps workflows, observability, and database operations.
•Share ownership of architecture, tools, and backend services that support product development and customer success.
•Collaborate with a small remote-first engineering team to ship features, debug hard problems, and improve reliability; meet in person periodically.

Key Requirements

•Experience with backend services and distributed systems, including running production workloads on Kubernetes and public cloud.
•Track record using AWS and working with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps practices.
•Strong coding skills with a pragmatic approach to clean architecture and maintainable solutions.
•Comfort learning Elixir if you don’t already have Elixir experience.
•A culture of direct feedback—able to speak up and incorporate feedback constructively.
