  • •Install, repair, weld, prepare, lay out, fabricate, maintain, and troubleshoot machinery and production equipment.
  • •Use blueprints, shop orders, sketches, and verbal information to layout, set up, and operate metalworking equipment.
  • •Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair machine problems using good observational skills.
  • •Perform complicated mechanical repair or rebuild tasks on equipment.
  • •Work with and provide assistance to other trades during repair operations.

Key Requirements

  • •Possess a high school degree or GED.
  • •Valid NYS journeyperson mechanical license (or similar mechanic certification).
  • •Ability to read layout drawings and blueprints.
  • •Proven mechanical ability including welding, fabricating, machinery installation, alignment, rigging, and machining with precision work.
  • •Be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
