Job Summary

Support Airbnb’s safety program by investigating personal safety incidents, abuse, and misconduct; document findings with written reports; collaborate with safety teams to apply policy-based resolutions, while maintaining confidentiality and trauma-informed communication. You’ll educate hosts and guests on safety best practices, monitor content, and help identify trends to improve internal policies and tooling.

•Investigate safety incidents and document investigations through written reports and summaries.
•Escalate issues and initiate user dispute requests for personal safety incidents.
•Collaborate with Safety support teams to develop and enhance internal policies, processes and tools.
•Maintain high levels of confidentiality while performing investigations.
•Educate hosts and guests to promote positive experiences and safety while using Airbnb responsibly.

Key Requirements

•1+ years of experience in customer experience, mediation, social work, psychology, emergency services, or a similar role.
•Fluent Japanese and English (spoken and written) are essential.
•University Degree and/or 3+ years relevant experience.
•Background in advocacy, crisis management, mediation, clinical/non-clinical social work, or e-commerce customer service.
•Ability to plan, prioritise and organise tasks and communications.
