Key Responsibilities

  • •Install telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction/heavy equipment, and customer assets.
  • •Operate machinery during installation for testing purposes when needed.
  • •Remove and replace ignition systems without a custom keypad/controller, then integrate keypad and telematics communication.
  • •Handle installation scenarios from basic power/ignition/ground to complex wiring harness work for CAN network access.
  • •Troubleshoot issues, gather/analyze information, develop alternative solutions, and travel to client sites or rental yards as required.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent (trade school certificate preferred).
  • •Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools; own tools (some specialty tools provided).
  • •Related experience such as electrician, HVAC tech, or car/mobile electronics installer; telematics industry experience not required (training provided).
  • •Open to traveling within a 250-mile radius of the local branch for up to a week at a time.
  • •Must be able to pass a background check (safety sensitive; contingent on a 10-panel drug screen) and meet physical requirements (driving, maneuvering, lifting 25+ lb).
