Job Summary

Develop and implement FPGA-based designs for control and signal-processing radar applications within the Radar Digital Products team. Own FPGA release delivery from proof of concept through production, translate system requirements into FPGA requirements, and design/verify with VHDL, directed and constrained-random testing, and coverage tracking. Coordinate with systems, hardware, software, and program management, and mentor junior engineers while supporting technical reviews across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

•Own or contribute to on-time, on-budget FPGA-based design completion.
•Determine technical approaches to meet system-level requirements and translate them into FPGA requirements.
•Design and code FPGA solutions in VHDL and deliver production-quality FPGA releases.
•Verify designs using self-checking techniques with directed and constrained-random tests and track coverage.
•Architect FPGA-based systems, create documentation, and support internal/external technical reviews.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
•Demonstrated experience with digital design and VHDL or Verilog coding.
•Experience designing and integrating with AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, or Actel/Microsemi/Microchip FPGAs.
•Experience using synthesis tools such as Synplify, Xilinx Vivado, or Intel Quartus Pro.
•Experience with Timing Closure and utilizing Chipscope / Signal Tap.
