Materials Engineer II

Develop and qualify materials used in reactor systems by designing experiments and conducting physical, thermal, and mechanical testing that replicates reactor environments. Use statistical methods to evaluate how process and environmental variables affect material properties, and perform materials characterization with root-cause failure investigations. Collaborate across manufacturing, neutronics, mechanical, testing, and quality teams to define operating limits from material behavior and optimize processes.
