Job Summary

Lead and coordinate maintenance operations for the Energy Center to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-efficient performance of electrical and mechanical equipment and facilities. Partner closely with Operations and Technical Support, provide coaching and performance management for subordinate supervisors, and help improve plant safety practices. Oversee maintenance processes, support regulatory and corporate requirements, manage relationships with Local 148, and contribute to special projects to reduce waste and address operational problems.

Key Responsibilities

•Coordinate and provide general direction for all plant maintenance activities with Operations and Technical Support, ensuring safe, efficient, cost-effective work within technical specifications.
•Provide leadership to subordinate supervisors, including coaching, feedback, and professional development; manage performance using performance indices and employee evaluation processes.
•Ensure a safe working environment by partnering with plant leadership to improve safety performance and working conditions, enhance job safety briefings, and participate in safety steering committees.
•Maintain a positive relationship with Local 148, leverage the contract, and participate in the grievance process as necessary.
•Participate in and/or lead special projects to improve performance and address problems; continuously assess maintenance processes to reduce waste and eliminate weak points.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science degree with 5+ years of applicable maintenance experience required.
•BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred (high school diploma plus 10+ years may be considered in lieu).
•5+ years of supervisory experience required (up to 2 years direct contractor supervision may be considered).
•Power plant maintenance experience preferred.
•Knowledge of union contracts/work practices and equipment operation/repair procedures; working knowledge of OSHA and regulations for fossil plant operations required.
