Key Responsibilities

  • •Take ownership of the full ML lifecycle from problem framing and data exploration through training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring on production systems.
  • •Make key design decisions for ML/AI components, weighing technical, cost, and product implications, and delivery via incremental, reversible steps.
  • •Act as a technical leader and consultant on ML within the team’s domain—raising the quality bar on how ML problems are defined and solved.
  • •Analyze production ML systems to identify failure modes, drive improvements with data, and design experiments from offline evaluation to live A/B tests.
  • •Handle production incidents and degradations effectively by diagnosing root causes and resolving them at the right speed.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrated experience owning the full data science/ML lifecycle (data, training, evaluation, deployment, serving, ongoing operations) on production systems, including monitoring for drift and degradation.
  • •Strong data fluency with data processing tools such as BigQuery (SQL), pandas, Dataflow (or equivalents) and an ability to reason about data quality.
  • •Fluency across supervised/unsupervised learning plus ranking and recommendation systems, including evaluation metrics, overfitting, and model selection.
  • •Practical cloud experience with GCP (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow) and AWS across the platform.
  • •Strong production-grade Python and experience leading technical design for ML projects with clear trade-offs and team decision-making.
