Job Summary

Lead a Pratt & Whitney Aftermarket Operations site in Lansing, MI (AutoAir MRO) overseeing MRO operations, quality, engineering, EHS, continuous improvement, materials, customer service and facilities. Drive P&L, budgeting, staffing and strategic execution while maximizing site performance, leveraging lean manufacturing and a cross-functional leadership team to deliver safe, high-quality products on time for a high-volume aerospace aftermarket operation.

Key Responsibilities

•P&L ownership: Plan and manage financial decisions by managing revenues, budgets, controlling costs, evaluating risks and making strategic decisions for the business in partnership with stakeholders.
•Business performance: Maximize site performance and profit by leveraging product portfolio, capabilities, customer needs and industry demands; analyze results using KPIs and make data-driven operational decisions.
•Strategic planning & execution: Plan and execute short and long-term strategy and operational direction; evolve product portfolio and capabilities to support future growth.
•People leadership: Manage and coach a team of 6-8 senior functional leaders; develop talent and ensure succession planning.
•Safety & health: Prioritize a safe, healthy, compliant workplace and enforce EH&S policies.

Key Requirements

•Advanced degree and 12+ years of experience in Military, Manufacturing, Business Operations / Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Aerospace or Aftermarket industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 14+ years of relevant industry experience
•6+ years of personnel management experience, ideally within a bargaining unit / union workforce environment
•Advanced business knowledge and strong financial, business and technical acumen
•Experience leading P&L with cost, budget, project management and delivering financial performance
•Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, QCPC and RCCA)
