Job Summary

Build and assemble electric propulsion system (EPS) components for the Midnight aircraft, executing engine assemblies and troubleshooting complex builds. Partner with engineering to support equipment bring-up and process validation, interpret schematics, and perform critical reworks in a fast-paced environment. Lead on the floor by onboarding and training junior technicians, managing shift handoffs, setting up tools/fixtures, and ensuring quality through detailed inspections and metrology.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as a key point of contact on the floor by onboarding, training junior technicians, and ensuring smooth shift handoffs.
•Partner with engineering to support equipment bring-up, provide feedback on process validation, and help bridge design to production.
•Execute complex assemblies by building electric engines (inverters, stators, gearboxes, and motors) using manual, semi-automated, and automated equipment.
•Own debugging and troubleshooting of electric engines and resolve equipment/process disruptions, including complex reworks.
•Perform detailed inspections and maintain line health through metrology measurements, workspace calibration, and routine equipment maintenance.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 55 - 72 hourly

Key Requirements

•Associate’s degree (or equivalent industry experience) with 5+ years of manufacturing experience, including 3+ years assembling electric engines.
•Experience thriving in R&D, NPI, or early-stage production environments where processes are evolving.
•Hands-on experience building complex mechanical and electronic assemblies using technical documentation, schematics, and blueprints.
•Strong quality and documentation skills, including following formal build instructions, documenting deviations, and reporting using Microsoft Office.
•Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and perform precision inspections using tools like calipers, micrometers, height gauges, or CMM.
