Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and drive end-to-end CPU architecture specifications across the product life cycle.
  • •Define CPU requirements and targets for performance, power, frequency, and area; align feature content to meet them.
  • •Evaluate feasibility tradeoffs and explore novel CPU architectures for different product segments.
  • •Develop and document new architectural/microarchitectural features and instructions to improve use cases and support the ISA.
  • •Model CPU performance and power, analyze bottlenecks, and create tests/test plans and testing infrastructure for benchmarking and performance improvement.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s in CS/EECS/ECE (or related) with 3+ years’ experience, or Master’s with 2+ years’ experience, or PhD in CS/EECS/ECE (or related).
  • •High-performance micro-architecture techniques and research experience.
  • •Experience with CPU architecture and micro-architecture simulators, tracing technologies, and performance analysis.
  • •6+ months experience or coursework with C++.
  • •Advanced skills with object-oriented programming (C++/STL) and/or internship/experience in CPU design or verification are preferred.
