Job Summary

Support mission-critical enterprise IT systems by administering and optimizing NetScout performance monitoring across multiple security domains. Develop dashboards and KPIs, monitor service performance and network health, troubleshoot complex performance issues, and analyze latency, packet loss, and traffic patterns. Perform Red Hat-based Linux administration, automate tasks with Bash, execute server migrations/upgrades, and produce daily/weekly/monthly executive reporting in collaboration with Network Operations, Service Management, Cybersecurity, and Government leadership.

Key Responsibilities

•Administer, maintain, and optimize NetScout performance monitoring infrastructure including nGeniusONE, nGeniusPULSE, and InfiniStream.
•Provide day-to-day administration for Red Hat-based Linux systems (CentOS, RHEL, Oracle Linux), including log analysis and resource monitoring.
•Use Bash/Shell scripting to automate administrative tasks and backups; plan and execute server migrations and OS upgrades (including CentOS 7 to Oracle Linux 9).
•Configure service monitors, dashboards, alerting thresholds, KPIs, and performance baselines; ensure platform availability and data integrity.
•Troubleshoot performance degradations and disruptions using NetScout data, correlate with ServiceNow incidents/changes, and produce operational/executive performance reports for Government leadership.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree (additional 4 years of experience may substitute).
•Minimum active Secret security clearance.
•Active Security+ CE (or higher) at time of hire, plus one or more relevant networking/observability/monitoring/service-management certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS, ITIL Foundation).
•5+ years of experience supporting enterprise monitoring, network operations, observability platforms, performance engineering, or enterprise network environments.
•Experience with enterprise monitoring/observability platforms and performance analysis/reporting tools (e.g., NetScout nGeniusONE/InfiniStream, Splunk/ThousandEyes/Dynatrace/SolarWinds, Power BI/Tableau).
