Job Summary

Serve as a senior member of the Centralized Services ACES team, traveling to support commercial customers with building automation system design validation, programming, checkout, and commissioning. Apply engineering principles to complex HVAC controls projects and collaborate daily with project teams, including assisting PMs, controls specialists, and field technicians. Help design, test, and validate new and legacy products, providing both on-site and remote connected support.

•Configure, program, and perform checkout and commissioning for complex building automation systems.
•Review and maintain installation and programming standards.
•Develop and maintain expertise in Trane controls products and applicable third-party devices.
•Serve as a subject matter expert in Trane controls and provide remote connected support.
•Advise and guide field technicians, engineers, and subcontractors while resolving customer issues.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry as a Controls Technician or Controls Project Specialist.
•Proficiency in operating and designing HVAC systems, building automation systems, and/or temperature controls.
•Experience programming, commissioning, and starting up Trane control systems; familiarity with Automated Logic, Distech, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, or Tridium/Niagara is a plus.
•A 2+ year degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology, Building Automation Systems, or a related field (preferred).
•Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 75% plus.
