Key Responsibilities

  • •Write and produce daily scripts for live newscasts, recorded programs, breaking news, and special events.
  • •Copy edit reporters’ scripts and provide guidance to align with the network’s editorial line and standards.
  • •Write assigned stories (news briefs, readers, voice-overs/VO/SOTs, and anchor packages).
  • •Write and copy edit banners and graphics for broadcast, using strong editorial judgment for accuracy and clarity.
  • •Translate soundbites, statements, and texts from English to Spanish; assist producers and reporters with editorial and grammatical questions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or equivalent work experience.
  • •Minimum 5 years of news writing experience.
  • •Fully fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
  • •Minimum 1 year of working experience with iNews.
  • •Ability to work weekends, early mornings, nights, and holidays. 'Willing to work weekends, early morning shift' is included in desired characteristics.
