Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead a sub-team of program officers focused on outcomes in priority countries and connect geographically focused work to broader Immunization PST goals and leadership.
  • •Ensure sound investment portfolios with context-specific targets, develop synchronized engagement plans across PSTs and country office teams, and coordinate closely with Polio PST and Africa teams.
  • •Manage people responsibilities including hiring, onboarding, performance expectations, goal alignment, priorities, project/change management, feedback/coaching, and accountability for sub-team goals.
  • •Oversee and guide Foundation investment management (voice, grants, and contracts) with external partners; facilitate annual investment plans and budgets under the Director’s leadership.
  • •Represent the Foundation externally with government officials, partners, grantees, and stakeholders; serve as a spokesperson on engagement priorities and manage portfolio risk and mitigation plans.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced degree or equivalent work experience in related expertise.
  • •15+ years of experience in public health, epidemiology, statistics, or related fields.
  • •Demonstrated ability to lead and manage an impactful team with clear priorities, evidence-directed strategies, financial management, and team culture.
  • •In-depth understanding of global health across global, regional, and country levels, including familiarity with actors such as governments, UN partners, and NGOs.
  • •Track record in health and immunization system strengthening in low-income countries, including experience in two or more of Nigeria, Ethiopia, Pakistan, and India and familiarity with polio eradication (preferred).
