Key Responsibilities

  • •Reinforce didactic content, teaching the knowledge and skills needed for pre-licensure nursing
  • •Collaborate with content area faculty to provide expert evaluation and documentation of student progress toward clinical objectives
  • •Participate in grading written and clinical performance check-offs
  • •Remain current with new trends and development in the specific field of nursing practice
  • •Travel to GCU student sites, directly observing student performance

Key Requirements

  • •BSN required. BSNs will be required to enroll in a GCU MSN Leadership or MSN Education program, immediately upon hire, paid for by GCU OR
  • •BSN with proof of at least 9 credits/3 classes in any graduate program OR approved national certification related to the content area being taught. Please specify your graduate credits OR national certification on your resume.
  • •5 years recent RN clinical experience with 3 years recent direct Psych patient care nursing experience with a BSN
  • •BSN applicants must have documented completion of the Clinical Faculty Academy (CFA) through the Missouri Hospital Association at the time of application. Please specify that you have this on your resume, before applying. This is free and great for continuing education!
  • •An active, current, unencumbered, and multi-state (compact) RN license
