Job Summary

Own the front and back ends of the billing cycle, serving as the quality gate for submitted claims. You’ll reconcile ERA/EOB payments and manage AR aging, perform pre-submission claim scrubbing and QA (eligibility, authorization, coding completeness), and resolve claim rejections using 277 reports and real-time queues. Coordinate with the RCM platform team, communicate with payer representatives on disputes, and track root causes to prevent repeat issues.

Key Responsibilities

•Reconcile ERA/EOB payments to expected reimbursement and resolve underpayments, overpayments, and missing remittances.
•Maintain AR aging across assigned payer relationships and communicate with payer representatives to resolve balance disputes.
•Perform pre-submission claim scrubbing and QA, including demographics, eligibility, authorization, coding completeness, and payer requirements.
•Validate patient eligibility and benefits, and ensure prior authorization numbers are captured correctly on claims.
•Resolve claim rejections using 277 rejection reports and real-time rejection queues; track rejection root causes and coordinate fixes with the platform team and Denial Specialists.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 21 - 25 hourly

Key Requirements

•3+ years of medical billing experience spanning at least two of AR reconciliation, claim submission/QA, or rejection management.
•Comfort managing multiple work queues and reprioritizing based on aging and volume.
•Experience reconciling ERA/EOB at volume (payer-level batch reconciliation).
•Familiarity with 837 claim files, 277 rejection reports, and ERA/835 remittance files.
•Experience with Medicaid managed care and Medicare Advantage payer requirements.
