Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform and coordinate high-complexity molecular and genomic testing (approved test menu), including specimen suitability review, extraction, PCR/qPCR, sequencing workflows, and validated techniques as applicable.
  • •Oversee daily Genomics Lab technical workflow and prioritization, monitor turnaround times and pending work, and provide technical guidance to maintain safe, accurate service delivery.
  • •Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot genomic laboratory equipment and software platforms, coordinate preventive maintenance, service support, reagent readiness, environmental controls, and downtime contingencies.
  • •Support verification/validation of new assays, instruments, reagents, software, and workflow changes, including accuracy/precision, analytical sensitivity/specificity, reportable range, contamination controls, and technical documentation.
  • •Lead quality assurance activities: QC/calibration/proficiency testing, investigate failures and non-conforming events, ensure compliance with identification/traceability/confidentiality/data integrity/document control, and support audits and accreditation readiness (CAP/DHA/JCI).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Science, or related recognized discipline.
  • •Current professional registration in the home country where applicable and a valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) license/eligibility for the approved scope of practice.
  • •Advanced knowledge of molecular diagnostics and genomic workflows including nucleic acid extraction, PCR-based methods, sequencing, quality control, contamination prevention, and analytical troubleshooting.
  • •Minimum five (5) years of recent experience in Medical Laboratory Science or Molecular Diagnostics, with at least three (3) years hands-on experience in a molecular or genomics laboratory.
  • •Experience with next-generation sequencing and/or high-complexity molecular platforms, plus assay validation/verification, proficiency testing, quality control review, and non-conformity investigation/corrective actions/accreditation preparation.
