Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as a senior leader for Financial Accounting within a region/LOB and all legal entities covered, owning end-to-end processes.
  • •Perform manual journals and other accounting events supporting ledger close, with strong insight into analysis and exceptions.
  • •Run pre-close monthly activities (reconciliations/substantiation) and quarterly site reporting/GRCA deliverables (including FINREP and other regulatory reports).
  • •Establish relationships with business areas, identify service improvement opportunities, and implement feedback mechanisms.
  • •Ensure operational risk controls and compliance requirements are met, maintain BC documentation (RCA/BIA/PLA/SOPs), and ensure tested continuity plans.

Key Requirements

  • •Provide financial control support across period end close, accounting control and assurance, and site reporting outputs.
  • •Own monthly pre-close activities including reconciliation and substantiation, plus quarterly GRCA/FINREP/HKMA/GSIB reporting and analytical reviews.
  • •Perform accounting events such as manual journals that drive ledger close and ensure robust analysis, exception management, and book closure.
  • •Drive performance to agreed service levels while managing in-country team expectations in a timely and professional manner.
  • •Maintain operational risk framework adherence, IFRS reporting requirements, audit/control/compliance obligations, and business continuity readiness.
