Job Summary

Own the full-stack development of customer-facing AI features within Drata’s product teams, translating LLM capabilities and agentic workflows into intuitive experiences for compliance practitioners. You will ship end-to-end features with React/TypeScript UI and Python/Node.js backend, collaborating with AI engineers, product managers, and designers to drive value for enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the development of AI-powered product features end-to-end (React/TypeScript UI through Node.js/Python backend) with real-time streaming and human-in-the-loop patterns.
•Translate AI capabilities (RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, structured reasoning) into natural, user-friendly interactions for compliance practitioners.
•Partner with AI Engineers to define API contracts and output schemas; translate AI capabilities into product experiences.
•Advocate for the user perspective in technical decisions and identify where model outputs break down to drive product improvements.
•Build user-facing feedback loops and instrument AI features with product-level observability (latency, engagement, task completion) and end-to-end tests.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping full-stack features in production.
•2+ years of experience working on AI-powered product features.
•Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript; building responsive, interactive UIs that handle async, streaming, and real-time data.
•Solid Python and Node.js and TypeScript skills; experience designing and consuming APIs that integrate with LLM providers, orchestration frameworks, or AI services.
•Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and practical understanding of prompt engineering, context management, RAG, and structured outputs.
